Just think, in Brazil it is Carnival! Parties, dancing in the streets, parades, and from small towns all the way to Rio everyone going ga-ga. Yesterday, I drove home from St Louis in thick fog and driving rain. Today it’s more rain and then back to more snow. My method to get out of these weather related doldrums and the general funk that sets in is through music. Join me and please have a listen to the Carnival music of Bahia by Daniela Mercury, if that doesn’t get your blood pumping count yourself as a goner.

Well, I think that we’re in for an exciting week as the little family in Florida is beginning to panic. It would appear that things are about to happen as momma nature is starting to take over. Not being too selfish, but wouldn’t a new birthday on the 24th be a wonderful surprise as we all anticipate their new arrival. Keep in touch through Vince & Kirstin’s site.

This week was very special for Adrianne as she continues her internship at the Shroeder Middle School. To get some of the young women she works with looking a bit further outward she organized an event. The event was a judged hair design competition with monies collected going to our local Ronald McDonald House. They are contributing $105 – not bad huh! While all of this was going on she is putting the finishing touches on her graduate school application.

Marcia has become a full-time travel agent making it her daily task to scour about looking for cheap flights to Orlando. In the off time from her travel exploration duties she has been helping Jason & Cathy finish the task of settling in. The latter is progressing nicely. Today I will try to get a new lamp hung in their upstairs hallway.

Next week it will be a bit of a go-around in Mexico for me. I hope that I won’t be too out of touch for possible major news events.

Have a great week!

Cheers,

Dirk
